Challenge Camp
July 11-17th, directed by Pat Cookfair-Casseri
The Challenge Camp is a weeklong residential program for developmentally disabled adults. Campers follow a structured program which includes group activities such as crafts, singing, campfires, walks in the woods, nature watching, woodland theatre, camp olympics and encourages individual choices of swimming, fishing, and various sports. Evening programs include sing-a-longs,bingo, talent show, real live performers and our Friday night dance.
Campers stay in beautiful updated cabins. Bathrooms and showers are located in the cabins. Large porches are attached to both the front and back of the cabins.
Challenge Camp accepts developmentally disabled adults who are without aggressive behaviors, can communicate their needs, who are ambulatory, and are independent in eating and toileting. We are unable to accept campers limited to wheelchairs at this time.
